5AZ sun is outwitted
By Valerie in AZ
The CA PopTop is the perfect answer to Tucson's 100+ degree days when my poor Miata must sit unprotected in the sun. I find it very easy to use. I can get it hooked over the side view mirrors, tucked under my windshield wipers, throw the knot in the trunk, close it and push up the cinch a couple of inches to tighten the cords in under two minutes. Well worth the two mins. to protect that expensive soft convertable top. It really does keeps my black interior from burning me when I enter my car. I don't even have to take it into consideration anymore that my steering wheel might be to hot to touch. After trying unsuccussfully to find a sunshade of good quality tiny enough for my windshield, I was very pleased to find something that covers all of my windows and protects the top. I am printing out the info. today for my friend at work who has a BMW convertable for her to try the CA PopTop.

5Great Purchase
By K. Brown
Even though I've moved on to the hardtop convertible Miata, this cover was excellent. It was very easy to put on and take off and light weight; easy to store.

1California Pop Top is MORE hassle than a car cover!
By Dennis W. Mau
I bought this and after reading the ten step directions for installing it I finally tried it. What a HASSLE! You have to hook it over the drivers side mirror then pull it across your windshield and put the passenger mirror pocket on. Then you have to pull it across your car to the rear with this thin cord. Then the worst part is you have to thread this cord between the narrow gap between your trunk or hatch and then pull it to the bottom and cinch it down.I think in time these tightly attached cords which rub your cars finish could cause more damage than the sun could! I was planning on putting this cover on every day at work but forget that! It might take you a minute to put on if your Superman and can move at the speed of light otherwise if you need to cover your car stick with a car cover. With a car cover you just make sure you have the front in the front of your car and then pull it over your car. Much simpler and better protection. For work I will stick with my trus ty old custom sun shade which is much much much easier to use.
