5A wonderful product I wish I'd thought of.

Snow tires are necessary (mandatory in some places) for total control in winter driving. If you live anywhere that snow falls or the temp drops below 40 degrees, you NEED snow tires. All-season tires just don't work as well. But having the tires changed over at the seasonal change ( going to a garage, waiting and having a mechanic change the tires) is time consuming. I do my own maintenance, but since I don't have tire changing equipment, I still required a shop with tire change equipment.

I started buying snow tires and either bought them from Tire Rack already mounted or buying a second set of wheels and having snow tires mounted. Now, when winter ends, I just jack the car up and change tires. Problem solved, except our house isn't big enough for two sets of tires mounted to wheels to be stored in the basement, so we store them at a family members house.

This meant picking up dirty tires and wheels ( even after I scrub them before storing them) and putting them in the clean car or trunk and getting your hands and car dirty.

Thats where the Kurgo Tire Tote comes in. Made of a strong nylon material with hook and loop fasteners (Velcro) you just wrap this around the tire, fasten it and pick-up the tire with the handle. Fast and easy and no more dirty hands.

5Keep your tires safe, and your hands clean.
By Kevin Nicholls
I just picked up two pair of these, and was really surprised by how easy they are to use. I was expecting to have to spend some time getting them on "just right", but once you put your tire on the inside (which is just about effortless), they basically roll on. I'm using them on 215/45R18 tires, and it looks like they could easily accommodate bigger tires -- or smaller ones. I'm probably halfway on the Velcro.

The construction is also better than I was expecting. The sides are just nylon, but the center (the black part you see pictured) is fairly heavy. It isn't bulletproof or anything, but I'm positive it will stand up to scuffs around the garage. Not to mention how nice it is to have the handle.

Sure, you can get by with garbage bags. But these are so nice, they're absolutely worth the money.

5Maneuverable wheel covers
By Five_Fingers
I've been using these Totes for more than a couple years now to store snow tires I swap on for only a fraction of the year. I also use one for the spare I keep in my trunk. They make moving the tires around really easy and the clean factor is definitely part of the attraction, for both the trunk and the garage. My garage is small and full of stored, well-organized items, but I have to shuffle items to get at certain things. A stack of bagged tires neatly stored and easily moved is a plus. I can quickly grab and move two tires at a time and stay clean doing it. I also don't get dirty brushing past the stack or having to reach over it. The bags are made of polyester and nylon and the stitching is strong. I haven't had any tearing or loose threads. They're not something I was looking to buy for myself, but a friend got me my first set as a gift. I then bought the one for my spare and I've also started buying these for friends and family.
